So, #hashtags….
(c) Wikipedia. A hashtag is a word or a phrase prefixed with the symbol
#
.It is a form of metadata tag. Short messages on microblogging and social networking services such as Twitter, Tout, identi.ca, Tumblr, Instagram, Flickr, Google+ or Facebook may be tagged by putting “#” before important words, as in:#How to #use #Hashtags
So as simple as putting a number sign/sharp/hash/whateveryoucallthis(“#”) in the beginning of the word.
So why do I need to blog about a how to if it is simple as that?
Because people on the internet has been doing hash-tags the wrong way. Like for an instance this:
Don’t put special characters when making a long hashtag like this #DontMakeMePissedOffByUsingHashtagsWrong
Well, not that I have problems with one doing it but it makes me sick seeing half of my internet friends do it.
This is not a hard thing nor this is a national security concern but do this for me and for those who are doing it right. It pisses us. #Seriously.
